Mega Man Universe is a planned Mega Man game featuring the Robot Masters from Mega Man 2 and characters from other series such as Ryu, Arthur, and Gachapin. Mega Man was going to be redesigned, and two alternate versions were going to be playable: Rockman (based on the traditional design), and Bad Box Art Mega Man (based on the North American Mega Man NES artwork.
Characters and stages were also meant to be customizable. At the Tokyo Game Show in 2010, Capcom demonstrated character customization with "Chop Man" (made with Mega Man's head, Metal Man's body and arms, and Quick Man's legs), "Metto Man" (made with a Met head, Bubble Man's body, Wood Man's arms, and Air Man's legs), and "Gust Man" (made with Rockman's head, Mega Man's body, Air Man's arms, and Metal Man's legs). Each character was going to have different stats such as HP, weapon energy, speed, and jump height. Capcom also announced DLC in the form of Megapin, Gachapin dressed as Mega Man.
On March 31, 2011, Capcom announced the game's cancellation for unknown reasons[1] (possibly as a result of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami), and no further information has surfaced.

- If released, this would have been the first Mega Man game to be called "Mega Man" in Japan, instead of "Rockman".
