Xevious is a vertical scrolling shooter originally released in arcades in 1982. Since then, it has been ported to numerous platforms, including the Atari 7800, NES, and Commodore 64. Versions for the the Atari 2600 and 5200 were planned, but cancelled due to the collapsing video game market.[1][2]
